These teams and clubs, made up of at least 9 rowers in grades 10, 11
and 12, achieved a team GPA of 90.000% or higher for the spring
season. Each of the teams or clubs nominated had one or more
individuals advocating for their rowers, intent on recognizing their
academic achievements. Whether they were a coach, parent rep,
athletic director or guidance counselor, their assistance with
completing forms, obtaining GPA information or answering questions
about the status of their nominations made these awards possible.
If your team or club was not able to achieve Scholar/Athlete Team
status this spring, or was not nominated, I encourage you to
participate in the Fall 2010 round. The deadline will be the first
Friday in December and Team GPAs will be determined using 1st quarter
grades. Nomination forms will be available in the fall.
Again, congratulations to the 21 Spring 2010 NYSSRA Scholar/Athlete Teams!
